Thank you so much for the outstanding amount of £3635.50 that was raised for the Sports for school event in October. The money raised is being slip between Sports for Schools and our School. We will be using the money get new equipment to support physical activity in school for the children.

There is a change to the Green school lunch when is should be vegetarian sausages. The new lunch will now be:

Week 2 – Monday – GREEN - Plant based burger in a bap

Week 2 – Friday – GREEN - Vegetable goujons

Week 3 – Thursday – GREEN - Cheese and Tomato parcel

Hampshire County Council in association with Camhs, Mind and Children’s Trust have created a campaign which is a whole family approach promoting wellbeing in the home – supporting families to manage their wellbeing, mental health and resilience providing empowerment.

The idea is to encourage families to go ‘back to basics’ with strategies, to build foundations on which the child and family can flourish. It is helping families to cope and make any necessary parental changes positively. Please see the leaflet in this mailing ‘Back to Basics’ to access resources through the website. If you would like a paper copy please ask your child’s teacher.

Please remember to complete the School Christmas Lunch order form that was sent out earlier this week. The form closes on Thursday 30^th November at 3pm. Thank you to all parents that have already completed the form.

General Reminders:

• The play equipment must not be used before or after school – our insurance is not valid. Children have been told that if they are caught using the play equipment before or after school, they will lose dojo points.

• We are looking for some volunteers that may be able to commit to helping in school on a regular basis. This may be to get experience of working in school before completing childcare training or just because you have some spare time on your hands and would like to be involved in school life. You could help with the library, gardening, run small groups or help hear those children that don’t read at home. If you are interested in this, please email parent.mail@hwis.hants.sch.uk.  We would need to initiate a DBS (safeguarding check).

General News and Information:

HC3S have a parent portal where they can register children needing special allergy school dinner menus directly. This will give parents more control and direct contact with the catering team. You will then need to make an application online for your child to have a special menu and the school will be notified automatically.  If you need to apply for a special menu, please see the information by clicking on: https://specialdiets.hants.gov.uk/
