Can you help the Friends....do you have some spare time?

We are a group of parents who organise fundraising activities for the school.  To help raise funds we organise events, these have included: Christmas fairs, Easter egg hunts, circus and sport days.  As well as selling tea towels and Christmas cards we do cake sales and fund-raising challenges.

We are always on the lookout for new fundraising ideas and we welcome new committee members or people who would like to help out.  If you’re able to spare any time to help please email fohwischair@outlook.com and one of the team will be in touch.  We meet every quarter to discuss what is happening for the next few months.  In addition, we hold an AGM every year to elect the committee members.  All parents and carers are invited to come along.  We hope you will continue to help and support our fundraising as every penny raised is used for the benefit of the children.

How your support helps ~ How you can help

Offering to help before events during the year is so valuable - it really is a case of 'many hands make light work'.  It doesn't matter if you can't help on a regular basis, or even if you can't come into school.  There are always little jobs that can be done from home if you have half an hour to spare e.g. wrapping gifts, preparing raffle tickets etc.  We really couldn't achieve what we do without the unseen 'army of help' that exists in school.  You can of course volunteer to be a Committee member.  Or you can simply support the AGM and give us your ideas for fundraising events - this is also the time to ask questions or voice your opinion.  You can help by letting us know if you have any contacts or skills we could use - everything is potentially valuable to us.
