We would like to wish all our families celebrating Eid a wonderful time. Eid Mubarak! Please send us in pictures of your celebrations to parent mail.
Thank you for your understanding regarding the Teacher strikes. Please complete the form for a place if you meet the criteria by 25thApril at 12pm.

We understand that feet are growing. There is no need to buy new school shoes the children can wear trainers until the end of the school year. From September 2023 the child can wear black trainers to school rather than school shoes, this change is due to active playtimes.
Welcome back it has been lovely to see everybody after a well-deserved Easter break. The children in Year R have become Claude Monet and practiced his techniques of dabbing and created their own Waterlily masterpiece. These are on display in the classroom. We have successfully got ready for P.E and back into our school uniform in time for lunch this week! Thank you for the hard work you have put in to enable the children to succeed in this. They had great fun using the play equipment in the Year 1 and 2 playground ready for joining the rest of the school for lunchtime play next week.
Maths word of the Week-later
Topic Word of the Week-dangerous
We have had a lovely start to the half term in Year 1 and the children have been very excited to start our new topic about Castles. In English the children have re told the story of Jack and the beanstalk and written in speech bubbles pretending to be the characters. They came up with some interesting ideas about what they could be saying – including the cow! In maths the children have been learning to count in steps of 2, 5 and 10 and problem solving using this. They have been amazing! We have also planted some broad beans in Science and are looking forward to watching them grow.
The word of the week is turret.
Welcome back. We hope you had a lovely Easter break. This week Year 2 wrote a recount about what they did during the holiday in English and learnt about doubles and halves in Maths. In Science we used cars, scooters, bikes and balls to investigate forces and learnt about pushes, pulls and twists.

General News and Information:
If your child does not eat certain foods due to religion reasons or personal preference, please ensure they know what lunch option they are choosing every day before they come in to book it on the whiteboard. There have been a few occasions when children have inadvertently selected the wrong meal choice. Children with allergies are identified by wearing a different coloured wrist band and have their meals cooked according to their special menu.
HC3S have a parent portal where they can register children needing special allergy school dinner menus directly. This will give parents more control and direct contact with the catering team. You will then need to make an application online for your child to have a special menu and the school will be notified automatically. If you need to apply for a special menu, please see the information by clicking on: https://specialdiets.hants.gov.uk/
If your child has a change or existing or new medical condition, please inform us by completing the form which is now available on our website: New or Change to Existing Medical Condition Form
We continue to put our children, their parents and our staff at the centre of any decision making to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as we can at this continued tricky time. If you have any feedback as to how this week has been, please let us know via parent.mail@hwis.hants.sch.uk
