Mailing for Week of 2nd October 2020
The children have been making the most of the weather being fine in the main but it looks like the rain and the wind is going to play a bigger part moving forwards. Please can you therefore remember to send your child in with a coat as they will need one with the weather changing!
Year R had their first PE session this week… getting changed and getting dressed wasn’t too bad but a little slow - they will learn to speed up! In class they have continued their ‘All About Me’ topic and have been painting portraits of themselves.
The year R online presentation will be uploaded to Facebook once we receive all necessary consents.
The Year 1 children had a delivery from Fluffy in the form of a treasure box. This had a scroll inside which had clues as to where the treasure map was. The children had great fun with this task. They have also been making clay pirate ships - they loved this task. Year 1 are also looking forward to their Titanic Day with Openbox on the 5th October. REMINDER - if you have not yet paid, we would be grateful if you logged in to your school money account to make a contribution.
Year 2 have been writing a report about the rainforest and trying to include all the facts that they have been learning about over the last few weeks. They have enjoyed finding out about this.
Magna – reminder that we have our own breakfast and after school club on site. Please go to https://magna.childcare-online-booking.co.uk/ to book sessions. Part and full sessions are available and INFANT and JUNIOR school children can attend.
Morning drop offs and afternoon pickups
Thank you for being so supportive in wearing masks on site. We do need you to continue with this to keep everyone safe. Moving forwards, from Monday 5th October, the morning drop off time is being reduced back to normal so you have a 15 minute window from 8.45-9.00am to drop your child off. The afternoon collection will remain for Year 1 and 2 as 3.00-3.15pm and for Year R at 3.15pm. Please remember that if you are late, you need to go the entrance gate you normally go through and then ring the office so we can ask a member of staff in the class to come and open the gates. This also applies for any drop offs and collections for medical appointments. A reminder that there is a pathway around the carpark for you to walk along. Please avoid crossing the carpark as it is in use throughout the day and we are trying to avoid an accident happening.
Changes to School Dinner Menu – please see the attached revised menu for next week.
