Another busy, busy week in school:

Year R – The children have enjoyed making Spring scenes using 2D shapes as well as creating their own Monet masterpieces.

Year 1 – The ducklings have been a huge highlight over the past few weeks especially when they have visited the classrooms and been handled. Miss Williams has managed to train them to follow her around the Year 1 area which the children have found highly amusing.

Year 2 – The children have created some amazing 3D parks using straws, pipe cleaners and a whole variety of other items. They have amazed us with their creativity.

Don’t forget that if you wish your child to be included in the Easter Egg Hunt and come home with a chocolate (or Free From) Easter Egg on Wednesday 31^st March, you will need to make your purchase through the School Money – shop page.

A reminder that drop off into school is between 8.45am – 9am. The doors will close promptly at 9am and lessons commence so please ensure your child is in on time as it is very disruptive if they arrive late and they also miss out on the first session input of the day.  Collection time remains staggered between 3 – 3.15pm. Thank you for all adhering to the social distancing and arriving at different time intervals. 

Reminders for all children:

• If your child has a cough, temperature or has lost their sense of taste and/or smell, they MUST have a Covid test. Staff will check that a negative result has been had before permitting them to come back into school.  This is to manage the safety of our whole school community.
• If your child is unwell (non Covid 19), please consider if they should be in school. We have had several children in who have been dosed up on Calpol that we have had to send home. We are concerned that these illnesses may pass to staff resulting in the ‘class bubble’ having to close. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
• If your children’s uniform is too small, please send them in wearing suitable sportswear. This will give you time to source some that fits for after Easter.
• Please continue to wrap your child up with a warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves as it remains chilly outside. Please also provide wellies so they can access the school field/outside.
• Please provide additional layers that they are able to put on/take off as the classrooms can sometimes get chilly with the need for increased ventilation.

The Government announced that adults in the household, child care or support bubble of children of primary age are eligible to partake in Lateral Flow Device Testing screening. You are able to collect 2 packs of home test kits at a local collection point. Each pack contains 7 tests. These should only be used by adults aged 18 years and over.  Most collection points are open from 1.30 – 7pm.  You can check online to see if the location is open or busy before you go.  You do not need to make an appointment.   It is important that you do not visit a collection point outside opening hours, as it may be used to test people with Coronavirus symptoms. Uniform Request:  If you have any old, good condition uniform including PE kits, shoes, wellies, trainers and plimsolls, we are accepting donations for our second hand uniform shop.  Items will be available for purchase in the online shop during the week before the Easter holidays (29^th March).
