Mailing for 26th February 2021
We hope that you all enjoyed a restful half term. Following the Prime Minister’s update earlier in the week, we now know that schools will fully re-open on the 8th March 2021. We are currently working through plans to make the return to school for everyone as safe as we can. We can’t wait to have all the children back in school and we are sure that you will be equally as pleased!!!
To our essential worker parents who are continuing to work at these difficult times - a HUGE THANK YOU!! To all those parents who are helping to keep our school community safe by keeping their children at home and home schooling them – thank you and WELL DONE!!
Next week is book week, please do take the time to join the sessions with author, Jane Hissey on Tuesday 2nd March and with the storyteller on Friday 5th March. The links are on the year group letters.
If you have been receiving the Free School Meal vouchers, please note that as it is compulsory for ALL children to be back in school from Monday 8th March, there will be no more vouchers sent out.
Please can we remind you that any new or changes to existing medical conditions must be reported to the school office so we can ensure our records and any medical action plans are kept up to date. We will be adding a form to the school website which must be completed if you need to inform us of a new or change to a medical condition – this is currently being put together and we will inform you once it is available.
Regarding the upcoming parent meetings: please note they will take place by Microsoft Teams. We have allocated all children a logon and password which you should have received either via a text (year R) or the Class Dojo (years 1 & 2). The invitations have/will be sent through your child’s account and, if you have booked through the online system, you will receive a reminder both a week and a day before your meeting date. If your meeting has been booked separately to the online system, please check with your class teacher if you need a reminder of the time and date.
We continue to put our children, their parents and our staff at the centre of any decision making to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as we can at this continued tricky time. If you have any feedback as to how this week has been, please let us know via firstname.lastname@example.org
