Mailing for Week of 25th October 2019
Year R – The Year R children have been on an Autumn walk. They had great fun crunching the leaves in the Autumn sunshine. They used these to create Autumn pictures. They enjoyed their singing and signing event. It was great to see so many of you to listen to their first performance. They have all had a good half term and have settled into the routines but we think are ready for a holiday!
Year 1 – They have been learning all about life on board the Titanic to finish off their Pirates / sea themed half term. Thank you to all of the parents who joined the children to make different cabins on the Titanic – everyone had great fun. Having spoken to them they are quite knowledgeable about the facts if you wish to quiz them over half term.
Year 2 – The children have been living up to being the oldest in the school. They are enjoying Year 2 and the new challenges and are looking forward to their next topic Where in the World after half term.
What a busy week. Thank you to everyone who attended the parent engagement sessions over the last few weeks. . We were overwhelmed by the support from parents and hope that those of you who were able to join us had fun.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term holiday. We think the children are in need of a break. Hopefully the weather will be kind and you will have an opportunity to get out and about.
SHOEBOXES – we have been given an extension by the company collecting the boxes, so if you still want to make one, please send into school by Tuesday, 5th November.
