Mailing for 17th December 2021
Phew, it is the end of a very busy half term!
Year R, 1 and 2 have enjoyed their parties this week. There was a lot of laughing and hilarity as well as some good old Christmas games like pass the parcel, musical bumps, musical chairs and many more.
Exciting news… we had a very special visitor join us via Zoom yesterday. He visited all the children in their classrooms. We are sure that your children will tell you all about him… Ho Ho Ho.
We hope that you have received the link to the recorded Christmas ‘ditties’. A lot of hard work went in to making them. They will be available to be viewed online for a month before they are removed.
We would all like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and understanding during these uncertain and ever changing times. We continue to put our children, their parents and our staff at the centre of any decision making to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as we can at this continued tricky time.
The staff send their thanks for all the generous gifts they have received. Have a happy and restful Christmas break and we’ll see you on Tuesday 4th January 2022.
Miss Williams is getting married on New Year’s Eve. We wish her and her husband-to-be an amazing day. Another change of name to get used to as she will return as Mrs Way.
INSET Days for 2021-2022
Also don’t forget to follow our Facebook page… we will try to share important events, dates and things that have happened in school… don’t forget to share with your friends and family!
General News and Information:
Please be advised that DFE guidance informs us that if a child displays any coronavirus symptom (cough, temperature or loss of taste/smell), we must send the child home and ask them to follow the guidance and get them a PCR test. The child must isolate until a negative result is given when they are able to return to school if they are well enough. If the result is positive they must isolate for 10 days.
Remember that LFD testing is for people who are asymptomatic. If anyone within your household develops symptoms, you must book at PCR test by either phoning 119 or booking online: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
HC3S have launched a parent portal where they can register children needing special school dinner menus directly. This will give parents more control and direct contact with the catering team. You will then need to make an application online for your child to have a special menu and the school will be notified automatically. If you need to apply for a special menu, please see the information in Letters Home
If your child has a change or existing or new medical condition, please inform us by completing the form which is now available on our website: New or Change to Existing Medical Condition Form
