For four weeks from 16 November 2020, a section of Brighton Way will be closed from the mini roundabout at Brighton Way/Sullivan Road to the mini roundabout at Brighton Way/Chopin Road. This is the stretch of road which runs the full length of Asda’s car park. The road closure has potential to cause more traffic and drivers may be looking for places to turn around or dodge the diversions so please be more vigilant than usual.
Below is a copy and paste from the Basingstoke and Deane Road closures website with links to a map showing the closed roads:
Starts: 21 November 2020 for three months
(Notwithstanding the above it is expected the closure will be for 4 weeks during this period)
The closure is to facilitate the implementation of a mandatory gas main replacement to provide service to residents during the coming winter period.
Bus travel will also be affected, link to Stagecoach website: Stagecoach Service Updates
