Mailing for Week of 4th October 2019
Thank you for supporting the Macmillan coffee afternoon and cake sale. We made over £600 which is brilliant. Half of the money is for Macmillan and the remaining is going towards paying for a friendship bench in memory of Mrs Thorington. We really appreciate your support. You did us proud.
Year R are developing their woodworking skills….they are becoming more confident in using the hammers, pliers and nails. They have also been painting portraits of themselves. They have been encouraged to look very carefully at their facial features. The portraits are looking brilliant.
Year 1’s week had an amazing week which included Openbox company coming in for the Titanic workshop. We would really appreciate anyone who has yet to make a donation to go on line to pay. The children have also been comparing the differences between a pirate ship and the Titanic.
Year 2 enjoyed seeing the Year R children this week to read their ‘All about me’ booklets. It was a great opportunity for them to get to know the new children.
Reminders – please return your FOHWIS raffle tickets by Monday 11th October if you want to be in with a chance of winning a prize. Please support them in raising money for school.
