Weekly Mailing 16th October 2026
Good afternoon
It has been another busy week in school ….. one more to go before we can all have a well-deserved rest. Remember that Friday 23rd October is an INSET day for staff training so school is closed to all children.
It was wonderful to see so many parents attend parents evening this week. We were pleased to be able to speak to you about the progress your child is making and inform you as to how they have settled in class since they started in September.
We had our Harvest Festival assembly today to share more information about the Food Bank and the work they do and explained how the donations will be used. This was the first time Year R joined the whole school and they were AMAZING!! Thank you for your generosity in supporting the Food Bank with your Harvest contributions.
Thank you for supporting our wear purple/non uniform day to raise money for the Asthma and lung charity as well as school to help develop outside spaces. Asthma and lung UK support people with asthma and lung conditions and also fund life changing research. Asthma affects many children and staff in school which is part of the reason for supporting Phil’s fundraising for such a worthy cause. We raised a total of £260 which will be shared equally.
Next week there is a change to Wednesday and Thursday's School lunch menu. On Wednesday 21st October the RED lunch will be chicken sausages and on Thursday 22nd October RED is Fish fingers and chips, GREEN is vegan sausage rolls, BLUE is Jacket potato and Yellow is a fish finger wrap (school packed lunch).
We are hosting a Primary Behaviour workshop on big emotions. We had planned this for before the end of the Summer Term but the uptake was not high enough to run. We have only had a few parents sign up so far. If you are interested in attending this workshop, please indicate what time of the day would be best and we will select the most popular time and allocate a date.

A reminder, please remember not to send your child to school unwell and needing Calpol. This unfortunately means that the germs spread further. If your child has an episode of sickness or diarrhea, your child must stay off school for 48 hours after the last episode.
Have a lovely weekend.
