Weekly Mailing 18th September 2026

We have had another great week in school. All of the Year R children are now staying full time and have been getting used to the lunchtime routine. They have been AMAZING!!   It has been lovely to see lots of children trying different lunches and enjoying them.

Collection at the end of the day

We are aware that often the children forget to bring all of their belongings out at the end of the day despite many reminders. Please can we ask that you don’t send them back to collect things whilst the teachers are dismissing the rest of the class. It is a very busy time, with lots of people on the playgrounds and we need to ensure that we see the children to their collecting adult to fulfill our safeguarding role. Thank you in advance for your understanding with this.

Shoebox appeal

We are once again supporting this worth charity. Please see the attached leaflet to become involved.

Governor vacancies

A reminder that we currently have two Parent Governor vacancies which close on 2nd October. Please look at the poster in classroom windows and let us know if you would be interested.

Information events

It was good to see parents attend the Year 1 and 2 curriculum evening this week. We hope you found it informative and showed you that your children do a lot more the ‘just play’. We have attached the presentation to the mailing for your reference and for those of you that were unable to attend.

New Year R admissions September 2026

Tour dates are available via our website and posters around the local community for admissions tours for Year R children starting next year. Please do flag these up to family members, friends and neighbours.  Having a full cohort really helps us to continue to fund the extras we provide for the children through the curriculum.

Lateness

We are spotting some regular faces arriving late in the office. Please remember that doors are open from 8.45 – 9am. Being on time is really important.

Clubs

Clubs have started this week and surprisingly there are a few spaces available just not in mindful colouring. If your Year 1 or Year 2 child would like to join Choir, Drama club, Lego club, story club, art club, computer club or boardgame club please contact the office.

Please note collection room changes:

Art – Butterfly Class

Choir – Otter Class

Lego – Bumblebee Class

Have a lovely weekend – enjoy the last of the sunshine.
