Weekly Mailing 11th September 2026
Happy Friday everyone!!
We are trialling a different way of sending our weekly mailing to encourage as many of you to access it and stay up-to-date as possible.
The Year R children have been in school for full days since Thursday this week and they have been amazing!! They have separated well from their parents and have been busy in the classroom meeting their teachers, making friends and learning the routines.
The Year 1 and 2 children have been gently eased back in to school but have been working hard all week. They have started PE this week and most of them remembered to come in their kits. Please check the Year Group newsletters from last week to find out which day your child’s PE day is.
We finalised our internal after school clubs and have offered places to Year 1 and 2 children. We do have some spaces in all clubs except Mindful Colouring so please contact the office if your child would like to join one of these. Please make payments through Arbor by the end of the month.
We are supporting one of our pupils’ Dad in fundraising for Asthma and Lung UK. We are having a non uniform day on Friday 16th October. We are asking for a £2 donation. Half of the funds will support the charity and half will supplement our fundraising pot. The family is also organizing a professional Traitors event. The flier is also attached. We wish Phil lots of luck when he runs the London Marathon in 2027!
Additional reminders:
- We are a mobile phone free site so please do not use your phone whilst on the playground. This is due to safeguarding concerns. Children’s safety is our priority!!
- We have two parent Governor vacancies, please contact the office if you are interested in these roles.
- Attendance and punctuality are really important at this young age. Please ensure your child is in school on time (between 8.45-9am) and collected promptly at 3.15pm.
Have a lovely weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Message for Year R
WOW!!!!!!
What an absolutely amazing week we have had in Year R. We cannot believe how well the children have settled into their new routines and classrooms. We have already learnt so many new things. Ask your child about the warm and fuzzies, their dojo monster and the crosses and smilies around the classroom. Today your child has brought home their first reading book and reading record. Their fluffy sound pot will come home next week once we have learnt our first phonics sounds. Please remember to record in the reading records when you have read at home. This is one of the most important things you can do with your child at home to support in school! We are looking forward to all of the new learning next week.
Have a lovely weekend
